To: American Back Centers

Hi, I am Tom. In 1997 I suffered with extreme low back pain due to a herniated disk.

After seeking the advise of my doctor, he felt I needed back surgery to feel any relief. And no golf or basketball until after the operation or for an extended period.

Than I decided to go to the American Back Centers. Dr. Miskovich assured me that with VAX-D therapy, I would be as good as new. Well, I went for several months of treatment and haven't had and problems since 1997.

Thanks to American Back Centers and VAX-D therapy for saving me from surgery.

Tom

Dear Dr. Miskovich,

I would like to take a moment to thank you for exceptional treatment that has been provided to me. Your outstanding, experienced and always friendly staff has made my experience at American Back Centers a pleasant one. In particular, I would like to thank Dr. Pete Weagraff who took extra steps to examine my situation and explain in extensive detail what options were available to me. I would also like to thank Tina Pracht who handled the financing and insured my treatment at American Back Centers was covered.

In addition to the help of your thoughtful staff, I would like to extend my deepest thanks to the VAX-D.

After the surgery I received in September 1997 on my lower back, I was promised by the surgeon to be pain free and I was -- for about a year. After the first year, the pain slowly crept its way back in. After a few months the pain became unbearable. I sought relief from a local chiropractor who managed to help me for a few months. The pain in my lower back, however, never seemed to disappear. It wasn't long after I began treatment that the treatment itself was failing. I was back to square one, full of pain and unable to move. It was in the beginning of April when I first heard an advertisement for American Back Centers on the radio.

At first I was skeptical. What could these people do for me? The only way to remedy failed back surgery is more surgery, right? But...

I was out of options. The pain in lower back was affecting every aspect of my life.

I called the number and explained my situation. The receptionist explained some of the procedures and emphasized their use of the Vertebral Axial Decompression (VAX-D) table. Since I've never heard of such a thing, she gave me a web address (www.vax-d.net) for more information. After some researching, I decided to give it a try. A wise decision.

After two weeks of therapy, I noticed a significant change in the way I felt. As therapy progressed my condition improved. After a few months of therapy with the VAX-D and regular checkups my condition is, dare I say, pain free.

I would recommend the VAX-D to anyone with low back pain, but more importantly I would recommend American Back Centers because of the personal and friendly service that was provided for me. Thank you for improving the quality of life for me.

Sincerely,

K. H.

To: Dr. Dennis Miskovich

I wish to convey my thanks for the VAX-D treatments I received at your back center. Prior to these treatments I had been going through levels of back pain and discomfort for a period about 20 years. Approximately the month of April 1998 I was doing normal yard work, such as raking and generally cleaning my yard, when the pain became so intense I could only work for limited hours and could barely walk, stand or bend over without discomfort. Three trips to my Chiropractor gave me temporary relief but for no more than a day.

I then consulted a neurosurgeon who gave me a series of exercises to do for a period of six weeks. When this brought no results he had an MRI performed to check the condition of my back. The results showed one disc to be herniated, another to be collapsed, while a third was compressed. When I asked what could be done, he asked if I was still able to go to work and perform my work functions. My answer was yes, but at times with discomfort. His answer was that as long as I was able to work, the risks of back surgery were not a good alternative. Faced with the situation of not being able to do some of tasks I enjoy at home, as well as recreational likes, I decided to look into the VAX-D treatment which I had only heard a little about.

After only five treatments the results were apparent in the reduction in pain level and found I was able to sleep for a much longer period on my back. After about ten sessions I was faced with something I had not experienced in quite some time. I would actually have to set an alarm on the weekends to prevent me from sleeping to late. Prior to this I would be awakened by my back pain and simply could no longer stay in bed!

After twenty-five sessions I felt as good as I had before my back problems commenced. I am very aware of how easy it is to bring on a relapse and do things differently than I used to (hindsight is twenty-twenty), but would say that the alternative of surgery, which would have treated only one condition, is now not an option. I would also add that the treatment addresses all three problems I had and not just one.

Again I would like to thank you and your courteous staff for a new lease on life.

Sincerely,

A. R. T.

Dear Dr. Miskovich,

My living is working in a hospital, setting up conference rooms. This means moving tables and chairs continuously. Some tables weigh up to 200 lbs.

One day I lifted one of these 200 lb tables and I thought I pulled a muscle. Little did I know that I herniated a disk. For over a year I lived through this pain, until the pain started going down my left leg. I knew something was wrong.

The MRI read that the L4, L5 discs were herniated. At first I tried physical therapy. This was a bad choice. One day I heard on the radio about VAX-D therapy. I talked to my employer to let me try this therapy and they did. It was this, or have surgery. To me surgery must be, should be, when all else fails, the last thing to do.

Well, because of VAX-D therapy I have felt the best I have felt in over a year. I am grateful and thankful that there was something more I could do for myself than go under the knife. Sometimes it's just so hard to tell someone how good I really feel.

For over a year I suffered when I would cut the grass, drive my car, walk, sit... Today it's hard to remember how bad I felt.

Sincerely yours,

C. M.
