Time Honors Pittsburgh Dealer Dallas, TX -- TIME Magazine has named Anthony J. Castriota, president of Castriota Chevrolet, a Chevrolet, Geo dealership in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a recipient of the 1992 TIME Magazine Quality Dealer Award (TMQDA). His selection was announced by Elizabeth P. Valk, Publisher of TIME Magazine at the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Convention in Dallas on February 8th. Castriota and other recipients were honored at the opening business meeting of the NADA Convection which this year was attended by over 15,000 people involved in the automotive industry. Castriota, whose dealership is located at 1701 West Liberty Avenue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is one of the 65 dealers in the nation nominated for the TIME honor. The TMQDA program annually honors outstanding franchised new car dealers, both domestic and imported, for exceptional performance in their dealership combined with distinguished community service. The program is sponsored by TIME in cooperation with NADA. TMQDA winners are chosen by a panel of faculty members from the University of Michigan Graduate School of Business Administration. In appreciation of the University's participation, TIME Magazine makes a grant of scholarship funds to the Graduate School of Business Administration in the names of TIME, NADA and all TMQDA winners. Mr. Castriota was nominated for the TIME award by the Pittsburgh Automobile Trade Association, where he serves on the board of directors. He also serves on the board of directors for the Greater Pittsburgh Chevrolet Dealers Advertising Council, Automobile Row Dealers Association, the Brookline Board of Trade and the Better Business Bureau of Pittsburgh. Involved in community affairs, Castriota is a benefactor of the Elizabeth Seton School for Exceptional Children and the Boys and Girls Club of Western Pennsylvania. Mr. Castriota and his wife, Mary Lou, have four children, six grandchildren and live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. |
